In an age of Obama girl it is hard to promote anything seriously without using sex. Sorry to the bible belt, it is still selling 'yall. I'm a homegrown Floridian I was raised somewhat proper but these truths are hard to ignore. Get energetic cute girls to list you as friends and put banners on their pages. As far as I know it hasn't hurt any of the Bands shamelessly doing this. Watch out for the occasional predator. I model part-time and can honestly say myspace has been a blessing and a curse. If you are promoting in any industry just be aware of scams. Get references if you even think of meeting someone offline. Please be advised some of these people you might not want promoting you and definitely do not want to be alone in a room with.
Motivate people to believe in your cause. You are representing YOU. I do not direct my browser to guys covered in bling, holding a wad of cash, and standing next to a sports car. Sorry guys, it's a waste of time for me. First impressions count on a myspace page. There are some pages that grab your attention and leave you with a good vibe about a person. That is what you are aiming to create, something warm and reader-friendly. Blog with passion about your causes and life stories.
