Predictions: 2007 Dallas Cowboys

Another NFL season is upon us and with that comes many predictions. This article will focus on the 2007 Dallas Cowboys team. Let's break it down.

OFFENSE

Quarterback: Many fans were elated last season when Tony Romo replaced Drew Bledsoe at QB after halftime of the Cowboys-Giants game. Romo started off hot but began to come back down to Earth before the end of the season. All in all, after only 10 starts, the kid looks good. With a training camp taking reps as the starting QB and some NFl experience under his belt, look for Romo to have solid play this season. The Cowboy's season is riding on Romo's shoulders, so he must perform well. If he happens to go down for any significant time due to injury, Brad Johnson is viable backup who can keep the team going.

Runningback: Julius Jones or Marion Barber? Who will be the starting RB for the Cowboys this season? Well, expect a lot of what you saw last season all over again. Any team that has two runningbacks in their backfield as talented as these two needs to utilize them in every way possible. Jones said, after former head coach Bill Parcells retired this offseason, that Parcell's "over coached me" and "had me running like a robot". If this is true, then look for Jones to use his instincts more this season while running and look for the offense better play to Jones' strengths. He could be due for a big season. Let's not discount Barber, though. He is a stud at the goalline and that should not change this season. Look for he and Jones to split the duties, with Barber getting more looks inside the 10. Tyson Thompson, back from a season ending ankle injury, is also looking good as a change-of-pace back.

Wide Receiver/Tight End: Terry Glenn (WR), Terrell Owens(WR) and Jason Witten(TE) provide three solid starters at WR and TE. The Cowboys will use the preseason games to determine what the rest of the pecking order will be at WR. Look for Patrick Crayton to stay as the 3rd-string WR and Sam Hurd and Miles Austin to round out the corps. If a sixth WR is kept on the roster this season, look for Jerheme Urban to possibly make a splash, but only if rookie Isaih Stanback is unable to play due to his shin splints. Otherwise, Stanback will secure the sixth spot. At TE, look for Anthony Fasano to become a bigger part of the offense this year. The Cowboys will run more formations where both Witten and Fasano are on the line, forcing defenses to wonder which TE will stay back to block and which will go out.

Offense Line: They played
