I once was young...with long, flowing red locks. Not only is my hair quite thick, but I've also been blessed with a medium-fine texture that not only holds style without ever falling flat or limp, but also has a lovely sheen....err..HAD a lovely sheen. About two years ago, I started coloring my hair at home to spice up the natural red that is slowly, but surely, losing it's oomph. Every redhead in my family has eventually lightened to a shade somewhere inbetween dirty blonde and pure white. At the age of 28, I feel that this is a travesty. I should NOT be subjected to such a thing just yet. So I took the plunge, found the box that had the closest shade to my more younthful bronze, and started dying away! I feel that when someone asks me if my color is natural, I can say yes without feeling guilty because this once WAS my natural color...it's...just...not quite as pretty, anymore. Is that wrong? I digress....
One result of this every-so-often coloring has been that my hair has lost a bit of it's glossiness. I still receive compliments, mind you, but I have a very high standard of what my hair should be. Lovely is not enough. No, it must be more than any hair has ever been before. It must...it has...it's just gotta be the best EVER. One day whilst I was parousing the aisles at my lovely little local Sephora store, I came across Frederic Fekkai hair care. Having tried several professional lines such as Paul Mitchell, Matrix, Healthy Sexy Hair, etc. and only having temporary success with each, I decided to give this infinitely tinier bottle of Fredric Fekkai at an infinitely higher price a shot. I carefully chose the "Glossing" line of shampoo and conditioner. I also made note of an intriguing little spray bottle labeled "Glossing Spray" for future reference. I then made my way to the register and paid what seemed to be a ridiculous amount of money for such a tiny bag of products, and nervously made my way home, hoping to all hope that I had not once again made a pricey mistake.
The next morning I showered. I was very excited. I almost cleansed out of order just to wash my hair first, but thought better of it. Once I reached the stage in my bathing ritual in which I start lathering the mane, I squeezed out a teensy bit of the light green, cleanly scented shampoo and raised my hands to my hair...and it lathered! Not only did it lather, but it lathered ALL of my hair. At this point, it would be essential for me to disclose that I have waist-length hair, and to remind
