Memoirs: What my dog means to me

Some people might call me boy-crazy, but there is only one man in my life who can really drive me wild. He may not be every woman's physical fantasy (he only weighs seventy-two pounds and is covered in hair). And well, he isn't very romantic (his favorite activity getting belly rubs). Admittably, his breath can stink worse than leftover fish on trash day, but there is nothing I enjoy more than our long walks on the beach and late night cuddling! That's right ladies - I've had my dream man for the past twelve years - and his unorthodox, sloppy kissing style keeps me coming back for more!

Who is this mystery man? He's my hairy, smelly, gigantic mutt named Puck. Yes, ladies, I am talking about a dog.

Where did I find my dreamboat? That's simple. The first place every lonely woman should go to when she is in search of the perfect companion - the local humane society! There are plenty of lovable canines waiting for you to take them home, fix them up, and call them yours! Unlike the dogs you meet in bars, these pups have no fear of commitment, intimacy issues, or ex-wives.

How has my life improved since the onset of this puppy love? For starters, I never have to sleep alone. Also, my man is waiting at the door when I return home from a hard day at the office...ready to hear all my complaints and snuggle on the couch with a glass of wine. He is such a great listener! Lastly, I no longer yearn for a reason to get out of bed every morning. Sure, my motivation might be not wanting to clean the carpet, but walking Puck around the block keeps me looking and feeling great!

My constant companion, the only man who has never lied to me, my best friend, my boy-dog - Puck is all of that and so much more. Ladies, stop spending your nights alone! Visit the animal shelter and find the love of your life today!
