Public opinion, the media and their influence on public policy

When we think of the term indoctrination, when we think of the use of propaganda in order to indoctrinate, it conjures up images of a past, steeped in gloom, bloodshed and ill-feeling towards particular sections of society. The media is often instrumental in setting public feeling towards a particular agenda, issue or subject this is the case in every Western Democracy you can think of. Think for a moment then how important it is that the media does not abuse their ability to do so. Past circumstances of a fascist Germany, whose media monstrosity was worked by the likes of Hitler and Geobbels creep to the fore of our weary conscience, and for good reason. A Stalinist run national media monopoly also reflects how media is important to the mindset of the people and how dictators pick up on this importance. It is currently demonstrated in North Korea, the media controls the views of the people.

In this country it has always been said the media is "free and fair", a completely and utterly baseless statement. In truth, blatant political affiliations are not apparent in print and broadcasting in the UK, however there is no denying the chastisement of certain sections of the community within column inches and air time world-wide, not just the UK. There is no reason to believe that our media shows more democratic values than that of Nazi Germany or a Communist state, all that is missing from the paper you buy with a coffee in the morning is a state-invented title, something along the lines of "Westminster Herald" or "Tony's Times" would be sufficient were "The Sun" or "The Daily Mirror" currently reside. What is obvious is that the papers create their montages of social oppression at the betterment of the current government.
In order to explain their drastic and aggressive foreign policy, which is now quite obviously becoming a smash and grab for oil, they use the modern media, by appointment of spin-doctors and people who influence the amount of bias reflected by the media, consequently these people turn the dial to that which favours the western governments of the world. In short, in order to justify their oppression of Muslims across the globe, they have implemented a stratagem of bias against their counterparts in this country.
How often do we hear of suspected "terror plots"? How often do we hear of young British Muslims who have been brainwashed into the fundamental and extreme elements of a religion whose very name is translated as
