How can something that is not a religion be dying out? Yes, I said that! Christianity is not a religion. It is not a new way of living by set a rules or do's and don'ts. Christianity is the very life of Jesus Christ living in the spirit of man.
I know this will sound funny to some people who love all their doctrine and study, but true Christianity is a living and breathing relationship with God himself. It is real, it is alive and it requires a person to be born again of the Spirit of God, (John 3.3) Yes dear reader, Christianity is a spiritual re-birth. How can someone be re-born and dying out at the same time?
The question about dying out or not has to do with a "religious", intellectual understanding of Christianity. Christianity is the only "faith" that when a person becomes born again, stops trying to find God. Some religions today want you to die for God. Christianity is based on our God Jesus Christ dying for us. Because of His death, burial and resurrection we too can live again and forever. Jesus said He came to give us ETERNAL LIFE. So how can Christianity be dying when it gives a real believer life eternal and further abundant life.
True Christianity reconciles a man back to God through Christ and brings him or her back to their rightful place in relationship to God. Jesus said in John chapter 10, "that my sheep hear my voice, and they follow me, and the voice of the stranger they will not follow." Hebrews chapter 3 says, Today, if you here the Holy Spirit's voice, do not harden your heart."
Yes, Christianity is not dying out, it can not die out and will never die out. Christianity is based on a new life in us, the very life of Christ Himself. Jesus himself says His kingdom shall never end.
We Christians are looking for the kingdoms of this world becoming the Kingdom of our God in Christ, so we know everything else is going to pass away, but Christ and His Kingdom shall never pass away.
