Claiming the Prophet's Voice

A prophet's voice I have finally claimed.
Visions and clarity and truths revealed.
No hiding behind the veil of self-doubt.
God reveals it, and so it is proclaimed!

Symbols and images seen in a dream,
Nets of fishermen, and a blazing fire.
No doubting God's good purpose for my life.
Into deep waters of the living stream.

A prophet's wisdom seems so very clear.

The unspeakable, first only whispered.
No faint of heart and no cold, trembling hand.
God tells me to speak though many may sneer.

Cast out the net, certain it will not break.
Trusting and obeying, growing in faith.
No way to turn back from God's sacred plan.
All of myself he asks me to forsake.

A prophet's heart by this world was broken.
Speak the truth in love, so the elders say.
No road maps to the Promised Land exist.
God gives a message and it is spoken.

So many reasons to deny the gift.
The world can't hear what the Spirit declares.
No timid attempts to silence my God.
My heart and my soul the Master will sift.

A prophet's task: to reach women in pain.
Follow a leading and extend a hand.
No stopping the wheels once they start turning.
God affirms the labor is not in vain.

A prophet's whole life is blessed from above.
Lifting up prayers and petitions each day.
No chance or circumstance can change the truth.
God from heaven blankets us with his love.
