I'm really sorry, but I do not get the whole fuss over Anya Hindmarch's 'I'm Not A Plastic Bag'.

Selling for 5 or 12, it may be a designer handbag bargain but really is it? How many other people are you going to meet walking down the street, with the bag hanging from their arm?

One of the best things about owning a designer bag is being guaranteed that pretty much not every second person you meet in town will have one.

Was it the fact that various celebrites such as Lily Cole and Lily Allen were seen with these bags in tow that sparked the rampage to shops across the world to grab one? Queues stretching for unbelieveable lengths queued in some cases for days

The concpet of the bag being kind to the environment and all that was great but I cannot say that I would be proud to have it in my wardrobe. It is neither exclusive or attractive enough to make an outfit. There are plenty of canvas shoppers in shops near me in various shapes, designs and colours. At least with one of them your outfit would be unique.
