have the time or want to eat all those fruits and veggies we are suppose to. It is good for joints, muscles and will help with some of the pain FMS produces.
6- Take time out for yourself each day. Soak in a hot bubble bath with soft music. Walk each day at least one mile and work up to 3-5 miles. Do it slowly though at first, but movement sometimes helps to get the body going again. Muscles and joints that are used work better then those that do little or nothing.
7- Apple Cider Vinegar. Now don't laugh but if and when you enjoy salad. Use "Braggs" apple cider vinegar. Good stuff if you put two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in an 8 ounce glass of apple juice. This allows one to drink it without the bad taste. It really taste to me as apple cider does. Apple Cider Vinegar is helpful in that it helps rid the body of that all over tired feeling. It also helps with your digestive system.
8- B-Complex, vitamin C and E. These vitamins are essential for the energy FMS suffers need. Take at least 1000 -1500 of Vitamin C a day. B-complex 1x a day along with Vitamin E should be taken 1 x every day for good blood vessels. If the blood vessels are healthy the blood flows freely and can help FMS suffers to benefit from proper flow of blood to the areas that are painful. "Vitamin E, C, and B-complex also is beneficial for the immune system, which is a very important system to FMS suffers.
9- Faith and prayer goes a long way in a person's outlook on life. Prayer and a strong faith can work wonders.
10- Go out to your local hospital or nursing home. Look at the others around you who are suffering worse then you. You would be surprised how much this action truly helps. It makes anyone suffering from any illness, see that there is always someone worse off then they are. It truly helps.
I hope some of this helps you, it has helped my friend and she has FMS. I also benefit from following these same steps. Remember too that laughter is good for the mind and body. Having a positive attitude and helping others is also good for us. It cheers others up and sometimes makes us realize that we are not so bad, there is always others worse off.
My friend and I visited a man recently who is 49 years old and suffering from lymphatic and pancreatic cancer. He is getting ready to start Chemotherapy and radiation treatments. He has a wife and two daughters and he is strong and full of life and faith and is fighting for his life. If this man having a much more serious problem the Cerebral Palsy or FMS can keep going and fighting, we too who are not as bad off should also keep going and fighting and never give into these things.
My friend and I call on hundreds of 0thers each month, that are disabled and many with far greater disabilities then we have. It makes the other person feel loved and cared for and makes us feel better because we are grateful we are not as bad off as they are. Anyway hope all this helps and praying never hurts. God can do what no one else can. I wish all FMS suffers the best, and remember you are not alone!
