Fibromyalgia: Symptoms and treatment

Fibromyalgia is a very painful and debilitating condition. Some days are worse then others but still the pain is constant. Some try to alleviate their pain with medical drugs and others prefer the natural method. Of course which ever way of treatment you use is a personal choice.

I have a friend who has Fibromyalgia, (FMS) she says that it is very painful.

I do not have FMS but I do have spastic Cerebral Palsy and at 33 years old I feel about 50 because of the spastic contraction of the muscles and tendons in my arms and legs. Have you ever wakened during the night with what is called a "Charlie horse" a spasm in the calf of your leg and it hurts and you have to walk till the contraction in that muscle releases. Now imagine that all over your body. That is what spastic contraction from Cerebral Palsy feels like. My friend and I soon realized we both suffered similar in that our conditions were both very similar in that both Spastic Cerebral Palsy and Fibromyalia are very painful.

About five (5) years ago I got the idea to try natural remedies for my pain because the doctors were not truly helping me. I went to an Acupuncturist who is also an herbalist. That worked for a while but got very expensive.

I then started to do my own research on different remedies that worked for others. Here is what I have learned.

1- Drink a lot of water. Not just 8 glasses but 12 glasses of water a day. It flushes the toxins out of the body that can make pain worse then it needs to be. Water cleanses the body as nothing else can.

2- My research learned that cutting out coffee, soda and only drink wine if you feel like drinking. A glass of wine a few times a week is good for the heart and good for cleaning the blood. The cleaner the body and the blood the better it works.

3- Purchase some cream called "Capsaicin Cream." It will help with the aches and pain. Rub some on the parts that truly hurt. I know the FMS suffers also suffer from muscle and tendon pains. This is an all over ache. I find this crme takes the edge off the pain and allows a person to resume daily activities.

4- Eat as much veggies and fruit as possible. When waste products are eliminated the body can better work the way it should. Cleansing the colon of waste does wonders and prevents other problems such as infections and viruses.

5- Do research on a product called "Natural Joint." This product is fantastic. It is made up of 37 different kinds of fruits and veggies and is all natural. It is
