Best vacuums to buy

So many companies are coming out with the new and improved version of everything including the vacuum. In the past our only choice to decide was what brand we wanted. Today that choice consists of much more than a name alone, you have to decide if you want a bag-less or one that uses a bag, do you want attachments or attachment free, do you want hand held ability or not. So many choices and then on top of that you throw the so many brands. What really are the best vacuums of today and how can you decide which one you want to take home with you?

The first thing to know is this: if it is new on the market it is very expensive. The design may indeed be new and improved but is it really worth that much more money to have the top of the line design? Unless there is more than design improved you are probably wasting your hard earned money. Should you decide to buy the top of the line of today's vacuum be prepared to pay out the wazzoo when you reach the register. Now you can not say that you have not been warned!

Take your time to look around when making a new vacuum purchase. Most stores have all their vacuums in an isle together. This allows you the perfect opportunity to walk down the aisle and compare all of them to find your favorites. It is also then simple to compare one to another. You can also use the Internet to bargain hunt and vacuum compare.

What you are looking for is a product to clean your carpet. Look for a good brand with a reasonable price. What are some good name brand vacuums? You have the Dirt Devil that has been proved to be a great product that lasts for years. You have Hoover close on the heels of the Devil with the only downfall being price is a bit steep in many cases. Bissell is another great brand of vacuum as well as Eureka. These are some of your well known tried and true choices. Also keep in mind that when you buy a vacuum the more things it has the more you are going to pay no matter what brand it is. No matter what features or attachments the thing has if you do not use them what good are they to you?

The choice of bag-less or not bag-less is also something to consider. The bag-less vacuums are a bit messy to empty but very simple and quick. The bagged vacuums on the other hand are messy, bags are often difficult to change, and it takes a bit of time to get everything back just right so that when you vacuum dust does not shoot out all over the room. Should you choose a bag-less you also avoid the costly bags that you must buy. If you do buy a bagged vacuum consider the price of bags in when you are making your comparisons. These are going to be something that you must have to make your vacuum properly work. No, you can not recycle and reuse bags. Don't even try it all you will end up with is a big mess! If one of the vacuums is quite more expensive on the cost of bags but the vacuum is cheaper should you consider a more expensive vacuum with less expensive bags. More than likely yes. The purchase of your vacuum should be for many years, the purchase of your bags will be closer to every few months.

This information and these considerations should be prepared you to make your final decision in the vacuum aisle. Buy a vacuum that fits your needs. If the name brands that have been tried and true are too expensive for you buy another brand. The off brand vacuums have a decent life span though they may not last as long as the name brand. Buy a cheaper one and maybe by the time it is wore out you will have the cash to buy the big new top of the line design if that is what you want.
