How to optimize website loading speed

There are a few different ways to change how fast a website loads. But there are only a few that are really affective. When I create a website, I always try to use the least amount of images as possible. For instance, if I create a template in Photoshop, then code it into a website, I could just use that whole image I made in Photoshop. But instead I use CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). CSS is a type of code that lets you create objects for your website. With CSS you can custumize those objects by color, size, shape, position, and you can put text in it, on it, or outside it. I use CSS for over half of my site, usually I try to only use less than 10 images.

Of course, there are other ways to make your website load faster too. You can have many lower quality images. Or you can change the image type, from PNG to JPG, and it will be a smaller image size, but it also will be less quality. You can also have smaller images, instead of having these massive images that take up so much space.

You can also make a website load faster by using text instead of making an image with text on it, then loading that onto your website. This saves space, because text is not an image. But if you use Photoshop to make an image, then put text into it, that would make a large unnecessary file that will only slow your website down.

Of course, another thing that affects your websites loading speed is the other person's internet speed. If you use dial up, then of course, they will load the web page slower than someone who has DSL. So, you have to keep in mind that some people might load slower than others depending on their internet connection.

Also, another way to load your website fast is to have a good hosting service. You need a hosting service that is well built and has a good server, that does not "bog" down and ruin your loading speed.

All of these ways that will help with your websites's loading speed are only a matter of opinion. Some people might say that there are other reasons why your website is loading, but these are the main reasons that I think most people would agree on. I hope you have found this information useful and put it to good use.
