Time; Oh how he chases me,
Wants me to live more rapidly,
Wallow in his misery.
Trying to make me history.
He chases me down a one-way path,
His motivation fed by wrath.
Unrelenting to the death,
the power to spend is all he hath.
If I could elude him for a spell
Get out of his suffocating cell,
Not for long, just until;
I catch my breath, and all is well.
Then with rest, my life renewed,
I would no more his game elude.
With brighter outlook and attitude,
I'd be ready to resume the feud.
