How to overcome your fear of roller coasters

Who doesn't feel a little tinge of fear and anticipation when that gate opens and you sit down in the coaster? Everyone does. I've actually found that the best way to overcome the fear of roller coasters is by riding in the back. As crazy as it sounds, most of us spend a lot of time in vehicles and there is this "crash" mentality most of us have tucked away in our minds. Now, we all know that the front of the coaster isn't going to crash into anything; but, we are programmed to think "we are moving fast... if we crash..." Kids car seats go where? In the back. Children under a certain age have to ride where? In the back. Being conditioned that the "back" is the safest place, riding in the back of a coaster can actually ease our minds, even if just a bit, to help overcome the fear of roller coasters.
