I hope not. This striving to be normal is over-rated, and perpetrates many of society's abnormalities. Example...Young women having weight and self-image issues, young men playing that ear-splitting loud music to get attention and not fit in, oh right that works! Most view drugs as an accessory, their dad's are dead-beats, etc. With the nuclear family practically being non-existent, I say hooray! for not being "normal", especially in Los Angeles. I vote for Mayberry myself.
Any judging of the Beckhams is pure speculation and fantasy, so the multitudes of conjectures that we must endure, need to be tempered with reality.
I highly value the original, the unique, the sensitive, the changing, the growing, the altruistic, the intelligent, the slightly shy,...none of which is normal. God's own son was gifted, not normal, certainly did not blend in, so I don't understand this need to homogenize oneself. I just don't get it.
