The pros and cons of working from home

you have to come into contact with in your line of work). But now, you will no longer enjoy any benefits for insurance, medical or vacation leave. One can argue that you can always take a vacation whenever you like. This is true but once you start working at home for your own self, you will find that it becomes very tough unless you have a reliable income monthly.

Since you are able to dictate how much you want to earn for yourself, you may end up being a workaholic. But if you are a procrastinator and has some spare cash, then you will find that self discipline is something you must have. Without it, you will find that your spare cash is being drained.

Since you are on your own, there is no one (or very few) to discuss your problems or issues with. Decisions are made on your own with little consultation.

Although the pros of having your own hours, no boss to report to, being able to live your own style of life looks very lucrative, the statistics for failure is also very high. Unless you have a strong financial backing to last you at least one year and you also have a very high level of self discipline, it may not be the ideal career to pursue.
