jalapeno and core and remove the seeds and veins, fill with cream cheese and the biggest shrimp you can fit in the pepper. Wrap the pepper with a nice piece of bacon and secure it with a tooth pick, place in the roaster and put it in the oven or better yet put in out on the gas grill and let it roast. These are delicious and when the peppers have the seeds remove they have a little bite but are not hot.
9. Any dessert made with Creme de Menthe My wife has a recipe for a cheesecake that has a crushed oreo crust and a cheesecake made with Creme de Menthe with a little green food coloring for effect. It is pure heaven. We also make a three layered fudge with a dark chocolate fudge bottom, creme de menthe fudge middle and a light milk chocolate top that is really good. Nothing like an after dinner mint after a good steak.
10. A Good Tossed Salad I have always love a chef's salad I like mine with little shrimp and crab meat but it has to have the red onions, baby spinach, cherry tomato, cucumber, broccoli, hard boiled eggs, and maybe some sunflower seeds. Top that with a great blue cheese dressing and blue cheese crumbles and some coarsely ground black pepper and I could make a meal out of that. The best salad I have ever had other than a home made one was at the Husker Steak House in Columbus Nebraska. Wish I could get the recipe for their blue cheese dressing.
Well there you have my top ten favorites but that just scratches the surface of the things that I like and enjoy on a regular basis.
