you down to the office and obtain a statement."
"I'm what? Are you crazy? I'm a senior partner in this company. Why in the world would I embezzle my own money?" Samantha was in shock. Maybe this wasn't a practical joke, she thought. Even Sam wouldn't be able to pull this one off.
"I wouldn't know ma'm. You'll have an opportunity to explain yourself downtown." Saying that, Inspector Archibald took out a pair of handcuffs. "I apologize. It's required. I also need to make you aware of your rights. Before we go, is there anyone you would like to call to meet us at the office?"
Although Samantha was obviously upset, she remained reasonably calm and, looking at Beverly she said, "Call Sam and fill him in on what's happened." Turning to the inspector, "Sam is my twin brother. He is also the other senior partner. We formed this company twelve years ago. I'm sure he can clear this up in no time."
When Sam received the call from Beverly, he was just ending his weekly golf game with a couple of his college friends. "Beverly, slow down! Take a deep breath! What do you mean Samantha has been arrested? Where is she? She's where? Ok, I'm leaving now. No, stay there and don't say a word about this to anyone." He had been hatching this plan for the last six months and now it was coming to fruition. He was sick and tired of Samantha's relentless arguments about his golf, his trips to Europe, his spending habits. "Why couldn't she just let it go?" He said to no one in particular. We've made a bundle with that company, but she still puts in seventy hours a week. It's time to put her in her place. He got in his car and starting the engine, slammed it into first gear, and raced out of the golf club's parking lot.
As he entered the SEC's main office, Inspector Archibald met him. "Are you Sam Waters?" the inspector asked.
"Yes. And I want to see my sister immediately." Sam said with an air of superiority. "Where is she?"
"You will be able to speak with her in awhile", the inspector said. "But first, we need to ask you some questions. Come with me."
As the two men entered a small office on the first floor, Samantha and another man exited off the elevator. "Are you sure he doesn't suspect a thing?" she asked.
"We're sure", said the inspector. "You were right to come to us with your suspicions. He definitely has been using your old computer password to move funds from a
