Octane the higher the number the better for the car. The gas you use can give your car a longer and better life. I have believed in this since driving a car. I work for repair shop and have seen many damaged cars because of the type of Fuel we use. The customer looking for value in gas is doing more damage to the cars vital parts. I hear this on a daily basis that the Manuel says to use this gas. This rule of thought may be true for a basic car but the owners Manuel is not just for your car. The manuel starts with a basic car and may cover up to the fully equipped cars so buyer be aware. Most cars can get away with 89 octane or with a 93 octane to boost the performance of the engine. Best fuels have cleaners in them such as shell, chevron, BP, and conoco are just a few. I always tell my customers to stay away from those quick fuels like grocery store, Wal-Mart, or Sam's fuels quality is best. Those of you that like to use the value must like to spend that money on large repair cost. o2 sensor can range from 90 to 250 dollars per o2 sensor. Injectors can have a hefty price also per injector some have 1 and can go up to 8 injectors. One thing you can do every 16,000 miles is clean the injectors, throttle body, fuel lines by a professional service center if you want to use the value fuels this will help the performance of the car drastically. So drivers beware when trying to go cheap.
