Our interest or theirs? Celebrity and the Press

Celebrity and the press, for our interests or theirs. Celebrity's are often glamorized in the press. Whether there being arrested or getting married honestly I think what ever the situation they love the attention. This attention gives them the emprestion that they are more important than those who aren't famous and wealthy, and more popular than those who are. Take Paris Hilton for example, famous only because her grandfather owns Hilton Hotels. Yet she is seen on camera more than celebrity's who actually do something to be famous for. From what I see Paris has no mental substance just a wealth grandfather and what some might call a pretty face. Press coverage on celebrity's, is only in the interest of the celebrity not the people. The more coverage these people get the more movie, TV, and music deals they get doesn't matter if its negative coverage or not. People don't even have to have talent anymore to be famous because the press will make them or break them I find it disturbing anyone with enough money and appealing appearance can be a star. Because the press says their hot and worth knowing about.
