Today we are all given many choices of who we are, who we want to be and how we will grow in our spirituality.
Humans are a bundle of contradictions. We want to know why we are here, but we reject any straightforward answer. We want to know how we came to be, but we are willing to believe that a cosmic mistake, rather than love put us on this planet.People profess to love and know God, but they would much prefer a Sunday of being talked at, then reading, and meditating on what God has said.
Church leaders today make it so easy and enjoyable to just sit and listen to them speak. They employ thousands of dollars of lights and high tech gadgetry to draw you in, and keep you mesmerized, that you forget to try to find the answers for yourselves.Church leaders today are drawing their congregations away from Bible based teachings, and luring them towards politics, self help beliefs, and religious isolation. The messages that we are given on a weekly basis are a jumble of personal experiences, mixed with politics, mixed with personal reasonings on how to live your life. The message comes out softer, easier to use, and much less offensive to the masses.
The Bible was written by God, and in it it says that we are all supposed to be using it to learn, and to teach and to reprove.Don't believe me? Look it up for yourself.
