From the moment the stick turns blue, your life is suddenly flip flopped and shaken upside down. Your thoughts day and night are instantly filled with joy, worry, excitement and anxiousness. You live life one moment ecstatic to the core and the next moment terrified of what the future will hold. Questions fill your mind and you wonder if you're really ready for what you've signed on for.
From the moment the stick turns blue, your body is no longer your own. At first you just feel a little off, like something's just not right. It resembles more of a virus than experiencing the greatest miracle of your lifetime. From the moment the stick turns blue, you start picking out names and nursery decor. You can already imagine a closet lined with flowery pink sun dresses or blue checked overalls. You wonder which of you will be the disciplinarian and which will be the softie. You divvy up chores and swear you'll take turns changing dirty diapers, even the foul ones. You promise to talk about all the important parenting issues and make all your decisions together.
From the moment the stick turns blue, you can envision your future and never in you life has it looked brighter or more promising. You easily trade exotic romantic getaways for picnics in the park, watching the wide smile on your child's face as you push them on the swing.
From the moment the stick turns blue, you are a parent.
