Making smart food choices during a diet

Like lots of women I have tried every diet under the sun. Most of which have not done a Lot for me!
One thing I did find that leads the way a little bit ahead of its competitors, was the Portion Savvy Diet. Or comparing your meals with that of your left hand. You take your left hand - have a look at it.
Your meals should be enough to cover that hand, but you should not have any larger portion than that. It also needs to be a balanced diet. For example the amount of pasta or rice you should consume should be a portion about the size of your fist.

Also eating little and often helps too. Aim to have 5 small meals a day; This cuts down on snacking drastically.
Diet can play a large part in medical problems too. Conditions like Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)- sufferers may find cutting down on foods such as pasta, white bread and rice may help slightly, removing dairy is a good plan too, these all aid the weight loss associated with such conditions.
Other things, such as chewing each mouthful approximately 20 times can help too, this tires your jaw out faster and gives your body time to digest it.
On average it takes 20 minutes for you stomach to send a message to your brain telling it that it is full. This is why a lot of people tend to feel bloated after a meal - especially those that eat fast as they do not feel full.
You find that in eating your food slower you enjoy it more and feel full on smaller portions.
This benefits your diet greatly and with having 5 small healthy portions a day you will notice increased energy levels and feel fuller for longer.
