How to throw a karaoke party

You know what I've learned about Karaoke? The MORE the merrier! The more out-of-control, party goers you have in the spot, the more live your karaoke party will be! Music is one of the basic joys of life that bind us together to sing, laugh, cry and reflect in memory. The fun in karaoke is judging whether the person who is getting up to sing actually has the talent to pull the song off. Not everyone is into karaoke, but it is your job to win those people over with your party. Be sure the who, what, when, where, and why of your party is made known to all, and the intrigue will set in. This article gives you a first rate guide to hosting a karaoke event that no one will ever forget!

Prepare with Precision: No one wants to go to a party that has chaos at every turn. Check your karaoke equipment, hire a reliable DJ and bartender, make sure the decorations are not falling down, and keep all the festivities on time! Marketing is the first factor in party planning because the party can not occur or be fully successful without people. People can become disappointed quickly if they can see that your party is not organized well.

Location: Where the party will be held is important for a number of reasons. If you are holding an event like this at home, you run the risk of abusing the ears and gaining the dislike of your neighbors and we don't want that. Therefore, hold the event at a local bar or club. This way, you maintain good graces in the area you reside. Be sure that the club has an area with a small stage so that the singing can take place in a designated spot. Always be conscious of your budget. Some establishments seek to overcharge party planning novices and you want to avoid any debts.

Finding a local club to host the event takes preparation. However, if your networking skills are up to par, then it could be relatively easy. Find a dependable spot that is popular, safe, and conveniently located in the heart of town.

Theme: One way to liven up the spot and draw many people to your party is to host it around a theme. Have those attending dress up as their favorite celeb singers and have songs that fit the artist. Since American Idol is so popular these days, it is only fitting to have a party revolved around this competition and watch how many people go for the crown! Have three people dressed as Simon, Paula and Randy to pose as the judges. Go all out because using your imagination is where the fun begins. Remember that people are always more likely to go all out
