Is writing a gift or a curse? For me, writing has been an incredible gift, and has provided me with a way to express my thoughts, feelings, and opinions to so many people all over the world.

I write songs, poetry, website content, blogs, and short articles every day. It's a skill that has always come very natural to me, and I've never really felt that writing was a chore. Writing is a really great way to communicate life experiences to others, whether you're writing about personal issues, job skills, or you're just passing on your famous award-winning chili recipe.

If there's a down side to writing, it's that good writing takes time, and many of us don't have the time to write just for the pleasure of it. We all have to make a living, and writing articles such as the one I'm writing now isn't gonna pay the rent. I try to maintain a good balance between my recreational writing and my professional songwriting.

The Helium staff has messaged me now and then to see if I was still alive, and I've assured them that I'll continue to submit articles as time permits. Writing really is a wonderful gift, and it's great fun sharing my gift with the folks here in the Helium community!
