Benefits of Firefox

Mozilla Firefox... You've probably heard of it, even if you don't use it. So you might be wondering, what's all the hype about? Well, Firefox has quite a few features that make it better than most browsers on the market. Sure, each browser has it's advantages, but Firefox has more than most.

Most importantly is Mozilla Firefox's Open Source nature. Open Source means that Firefox is free (as in beer, and as in freedom), and is maintained by a community of dedicated individuals. If you want, you can go read the source code and look for problems, and even fix them yourself if you happen to be a programmer.

But beyond that, Firefox is easy to use. With tabs, you can have multiple webpages open in just one window. Common web applications such as Java, Flash, and Shockwave can be installed with the click of a button, and you can forget popups.

In a slightly more advanced category, Firefox has plug-ins. With the click of a button, you can install all sorts of interesting and useful applications that are contained inside your browser. There are plug-ins to tell you how the weather is, applications to help you find cool sites on the internet, and applications to do just about anything you could ever want.

But also, Mozilla Firefox includes extra privacy tools, and with themes, you can make it look just as fancy as you like. All in all, it's a browser at least worth trying, if not permanently adopting.
