Gender differences in weight loss

Viva la diffrence!

We don't need to be an expert to realize that Men and Women react differently when it comes to weight loss. And, in my case, it's very easy I just need to look at my husband we are in the same diet, but somehow, he is in a better shape than me.

If you think you have a complicated relationship with food, you are too damn right! Since the beginning, when we were like the Geico's Cave Man, we have been struggling to manage our ferocious appetite. The sad thing is that we usually lose the battle.

Don't think it's easy either to be fat or thin. This is a very complicated issue. There are several facets involving the weight loss, and one of them is related to GENDER. Others include: age, body composition and level of physical activity. There is also another important component: stress.

Believe it or not, everything around us conspires against the ones who want to lose weight: food commercials, new (irresistible!) products coming from the food industry, big portions at the restaurants and much more.

I have learned one important lesson in my life: marriage is fattening.
First because you think you need to eat as much as you husband do;
Second because you get pregnant, have no time to exercise
Third, when the time goes by, you become comfort with your weight problems for various reasons, which also include a low self-esteem.

When you think about going on a diet, take in consideration all these differences, in order to find the right program which fits your needs.

And don't forget: viva la diffrence!
