Those of us who have tried The Atkins Diet, the fat-free ice-cream diet, the low fat diet and every diet programme that virtually exist, would agree that there are no easy ways to lose weight. If it were so easy to lose weight, the amount of people, struggling with obesity would not have reach sky high by now. If it were so easy to lose weight, why would there be so many girls struggling with eating disorders.
So it's Sunday, you have been following strictly to a diet for the whole week, and the scale displays a pleasant result. You think it would be okay to go back to your old ways' after that, only to realise a few days later that you have gained back all of the weight you have lost from the previous diet you have followed so religiously. It is not absurd, that only 3 days could bring back the weight you have so desperately shed in the span of a week, which had felt like a lifetime?
Let us face it. Gaining weight is easy, but losing weight is not as easy as it sounds. So what, run everyday, eat your greens, and see a miracle in a few days? Well, it is only easy if you have a lot of determination and motivation to keep going on. Finding motivation and finally getting that moment where you slam down your hand and say, That's it, I am going to slog to lose weight,' is not so easy. Finally having that strength and determination to lose weight properly takes a lot of effort on your part. You need to prepare yourself mentally and emotionally, to stick to the diet and the exercise routine. You need to learn to fight the inner voices, which are telling you to grab the candy bar and a sprinkled doughnut. When you have reached your goal, you have to stop the old ways' and stick with the new exercise plan and food intake. Do you have what it takes to do that?
Well if you have a lot of money and no regard for your organs, slimming pills would be the easiest way to lose weight. Of course, you would have to consume them and never stop, because we all know that after you stopped eating those magic pills, all the weight you have lost would come back.
There is no such diet that will make you lose weight if you do not exercise. There is no exercise that will make you lose weight if you have no control over your eating. Diet and exercise are the only way to lose weight, and it is difficult if you do not have what it takes. Losing weight is a change in the way you live, and you have to stick to it in order to make it work.
At the end of the day, it is not a question whether it is easy or not. It is a question on how badly you want it. If you want that perfect, shape badly enough to go through boot camp and see hardly any pizza in the years to come, good luck and good for you. It is not easy, but the results and the feeling after you have accomplished you goal is worth it. It is even better knowing that you have done most of the work yourself, with no help from those evil magic pills.
