Are there easy ways to lose weight?

We are not equal in front of calories.....That is the best phrase I ever heard from a doctor! Some people will say to you that it is easy losing weight: you just have to eat less and exercise more. Sounds easy right? Wrong! They forget to talk about metabolism, heredity, hormones, age and sex. Get your mind out of the gutter...Ia m talking about men and women here! Put a woman on the same calories and exercise regimen and most probably the men will lose weight more easily than the women.

All that said, we should not be desperate if we are overweight. I have about 30 pounds to lose and started exercising about a year and a half ago. I did it for a couple of reasons...I did it because I wanted to lose a few pounds and subscribed to a gym with my mother because I wanted her to move more. I did it for those reasons but the benefit I reaped from the exercise is mental more than physical. You feel so much better when you exercise. You may not lose weight but you will feel better in your head and physically you will see the difference also. I haven't seen a physical difference weight wise but I am stronger and in better mood. Who could ask for more!

You have to ask yourself the question...Why do I want to lose weight? There are a couple of wrong answers: husband/boyfriend, swimsuit, clothes and others. If your answer is one of those you probably won't lose weight..or you will lose and gain it back surely. Lose weight for yourself not for other people or to get into a swimsuit. Before trying to lose weight, sit down and write down the reasons you want to lose weight. Are you really unhappy with 40 pounds more? If the answer is yes, do little steps before doing big steps. Eat well during the week and splurge, but not too much, on the weekends. You will see that when you eat well 5 days in a row, you are less inclined to eat junk food on the weekends. Pick an exercise you love. If you try running and hate it, you won't stick with it. I found dance classes in my gym and go from monday to friday since I love it so! Look at the contestants on Dancing with the stars, they all lost weight!

Be realistic and do it for yourself....It is the only way you will have success!
