How the US can be made safer from terrorist attacks

The first thing the US could do to reduce the risk of terrorist attack is to remove itself from the No.1 spot on the world terrorist league. Any other so-called terrorist organization just pales into insignificance when compared to the awesome, brutal supremacy of the US terrorist machine. For the last sixty years, with increasing impunity, US business interests have used the US terror machine to kill, torture, brutalize and destroy any country which has the audacity to refuse to open up its natural wealth and resources.
How dare any country try to live by some social model other than that decreed to be the one true "democracy" as constructed by US business with their cronies in the government and military.
With the US jack-booting its way round the globe in search of mineral wealth and of course the glorious prize of the worlds largest energy reserves in the middle east it is small wonder that small factions of deeply angry, desperate (usually) men try to make a David and Goliath stance against the US juggernaut. While am I in absolutely no way whatsoever condoning any terrorist acts, 9/11 was undoubtedly a horrific terrorist atrocity, I do believe that you do reap what you sow. The only thing I find surprising is there have not been more atrocities on US soil than there has.
Those who command and control the US military machine, those who own the vast wealth of the country have nothing to fear, safe in their well fortified ivory towers while the increasingly marginalized public, the man and woman in the street, as always, will pay for the crimes of those that have everything and want more.
