Blogs have emerged as powerful tools for not only sharing knowledge but also to make easy money. There are various ways to make money by blogs.

One most common way is to show your special knowledge in a blog. If people get benefited by your knowledge, they may return again and again. Money can be made essentially by displaying sponsor links and Adsense.

Blogs can also be used for selling affiliate products. While reading a blog, it is possible that people will click your affiliate links and buy their products, earning you a commission. For this, one needs to splatter all over a blog with affiliate links.

One common way of earning money from blogs is through Adsense. These are little ads from Google which earn money for a person when readers click through them. Adsense earns money by what is known as Pay Per Click advertising. This is perhaps the most powerful method of making money.

Another method of making money has emerged through writing sponsored posts. Under this, there are advertisers who will actually pay a blogger for writing a post in his blog. The objective of advertisers may be to popularize their products, increase their sales or simply to earn legitimacy for their business.

Some popular bloggers are known to make as much as $300 per post. Generally an average blogger may be paid anything from $10 to $50. Companies can themselves approach a blogger for writing a post for them or bloggers may compete for their ads with other bloggers. PayPerPost is one such site offering services to bloggers and advertisers. Other websites which bring in advertisers for bloggers are Blogvertise, Creamaid, Blogitive, Reviewme, Loudlaunch etc.

However, the two most important methods of making money by blogs continue to be knowledge sharing and Adsense display.

One can also sell one's expertise through blogs. If one has some particular skills, blogs can be an effective way of popularizing those skills. There are thousands of people who are always looking for expert guidance and help. They will be happy to approach any expert relevant for their needs.

There are certain essential steps that need to be taken for benefiting from blogs. These are constant writing of posts, weeding out of unnecessary material, replying to queries or comments, building content on the basis of effective keywords etc.

One major benefit of blogging is that it is quite easy to make blogs and software is straightforward for this. While one has to do a considerable work for building and maintaining a website, it is relatively easy with a blog. Anyone with a little computer knowledge can do it.
