Summer is a popular season for getting married. The warm temperatures and abundance of sunshine will help create a perfect wedding day that will always hold special memories for you.
The large quantity of summer blooms can make the choice of your wedding flowers a difficult one. There are so many to choose from isn't there?
Summer flowers are a lot less expensive than during the winter so you can afford to splash out on a large array of fresh blooms such as the beautiful rose, gerbera daisies, sunflowers, red and yellow calla lilies, cosmos and zinnias.
The dendrobium orchid, usually cost a fortune during the colder months in can be purchased during the summer months relatively cheaply.
Light colored roses and stephanotis, phlox, hydrangea daisies and the beautiful and elegant candular lily will give your wedding a fabulous air of sophistication and beauty.
Planning a show of delicate pink flowers will represent romance and will bring a delicate softness to a wedding theme. The color pink is said to represent love and devotion. Pick a few out in a delicate arrangement of white in your bridal bouquet or use them to add warmth to the reception decoration. My favorites are: Aster,Canterbury Bell, Bleeding Heart, Carnation, Dahlia the beautiful, Delphinium,Freesia, Gladiola, Hibiscus,Larkspur, Pansy, Peony, Poinsettia,Rose (there are so many lovely varieties to choose from) and Weeping Cherry.
When you have chosen your color theme then you may like to think about how you are going to present your bouquet.
Most brides go for the popular round arrangements of roses. This will suit many different styles of dress and theme.
The larger, trailing type of bouquet would suit the romantic style of wear with an elegant arrangement of lilies being a lovely compliment for a slim fitting gown
A modern feel can be given by using exotic flowers and various types of tropical foliage. This will suit the more contemporary bridal gown.
Ultimately the type of flower arrangement and choice of bloom is down to personal taste. If you are really unsure about what you would like then your local florist will be only too pleased to help. They have had plenty of practice at this kind of thing and will be only too pleased to offer any advice to help you make your most special day really perfect.
