Whilst loyalty to one video site is admirable getting your name and creativity out there is that much harder if you only upload video to one market. Unless you really want to be known as 'that person from YouTube' (for example) there's no reason not to upload to multiple sites since it doesn't cost any more other than time.
If you've been uploading to several sites, one site at a time you'll know it is a drudge. This is where Tube Mogul comes in. Upload your video once to Tube Mogul then, after you've set up your login to six other video hosting sites including YouTube, Revver, Metacafe and others (with more coming), one click will upload your video to all these sites in minutes (depending on the individual sites approval process).
Tube Mogul will also track individual video stats as well as your stats as a publisher. See which of your videos are being watched the most on each network and compare graphs of the results.
For some networks such as Revver and Metacafe I've found your video get approved for viewing far quicker than if you upload it from their own site.
A similar service to Tube Mogul is Vidmetrix. It allows you to upload and track your video on all the same websites but also includes Veoh (Veoh its self also allows you to distribute videos to other popular sites but not as widely). Tube Mogul has more tracking features, such as the option to track publisher accounts, which gives it an edge but if you just want to upload your videos to multiple sites both will do the job.
Blip.TV is another Video hosting site that assists wider distribution. Not only do they give you a player that you can brand and embed into your own web site (with your new uploads being automatically added to the embedded player) but at the time you upload you can also cross post to your MySpace Bulletins, MySpace Blog, Flickr and more.
I really like the Blip.TV custom player too. Not only can you (and anyone else) embed it anywhere but also it will also keep updating with your latest uploads along with full information about each. Not to mention Blip.TV is like Revver in that you can earn money from pre-roll and post-roll advertising.
Veoh, as mentioned previously also helps with distribution, however it warrants an extra mention here because its service is also comparable to Blip.TV. With Veoh you can create a custom player for your web site that is loaded with all your videos enabling people to see them all in the one place. You can also earn money from your videos with pay per view options available.
I recommend all of these sites because they provide free services and are sites I'm using to distribute my videos. I would estimate that I've saved hours, maybe even days, in uploading time.
