I agree with alot of the firings in the NFL this year,except 1 that was the firing of Dennis Green.After the collapse against the Chicago Bears on Monday night nobody could have recovered from that.The Cardinals completely dominated that game,the defense only gave up 3 points.The offense gave up 14 points and special teams gave up 7 points.In A division where everyone is getting stronger this is not the time for changes.Dennis Green has been A winner everywhere he has went 3 years just isn't long enough.The Monday night collapse was A total fluke not bad coaching.I believe it was the first time in NFL history A team has been down by 17 points and won without scoring A offense touchdown.The young offense made some critical mistakes and they punted to Devin Hester who had the best year for A returner in NFL History.I do agree with the firing of Marty Shottenheimer same old Marty-ball win in the regular season and lose in the first round of the playoffs.A couple years ago he had a chance to beat the N.Y. Jets they had the ball first and ten on the Jets 23 yard-line in overtime.Instead of trying to advance the ball they ran it 3 straight times and opted to send rookie kicker Nate Kading out to kick the game-winner in the rain,of course he missed and the Jets wound up winning the game.Against the New England Patriots last year in the divisional playoffs he used his last timeout on A awful challenge where San Diego had intercepted the ball and Troy Brown made A great play and stripped it from the defender and also recovered it.There was no chance of that play being overturned but Marty challenged anyway burning a crucial timeout.San Diego attempted a 54 yard field goal and missed New England won 24-21.
