Remember funny, bald, fat, yellow Homer Simpson? Well, he is back, and this time more self-centered, lazy and bald as ever.
Next to him, his family: his more-than-she-will-ever-admit devoted wife and it's 3 children, ready to begin one more adventure in Simpson's style.
And this time, the USA govern is involved, casting a dome over the supra-polluted (hmm, guess thanks to who) town of Springfield. But Maggie, the baby Simpson, finds a way out of the town, just when all the neighbors threaten to hang Homer...
And off they are to Alaska, dream land of Homer, to begin a new life of great landscapes, tranquility and free money offered if they allow the oil companies to destroy all of the above.
But when Marge hears that they plan to destroy Springfield, she decides it is time to take some action, and with, or without Homer, save her town!
Left by his family, Homer soon has an epiphany (and with this occasion learns what this word means), so, not-so-like-him, decides to help his family and everybody else from Springfield from a certain death. And riding a bike upside down, with an almost exploded bomb in one hand, it's a sure recipe to win his son back (oh! and also save the town).
