ODE TO HOPE
To my baby, Hope, who I miscarried
You were more than just a thought
And more than just a desire
You were created by a union of love
Though they say you were not yet a child
My heart knows different
For from the moment of conception
You became as much a part of me
As Sarah, Elise and Emily
My heart had begun to imagine
The feel of you in my arms
The image of you at my breast
I had such plans for you
And I will always remember you
As the child that exists before God's throne
For I know that as I have named you Hope
Those that hope in Him will not be disappointed
And one day we will meet again
And my Spirit will know you
And you will know me
The mother who wept for you
Who tenderly kissed the sweet dream of you goodnight
As your blood flowed into the earth
Your spirit rose into heaven
Into the arms of Jesus, our Saviour
I will always love you
Your Mother

Poetry: Miscarriage
by Ginger Earle
I used to cry in anticipation of bringing you home
Now I cry because I never will.
I used to think I had felt true heartache
My Little Whatever
I wonder who or what you were
I was there but I lost in my stare
I was helpless to your death

Our Little Angel
Our little angel,

You're now in heaven,
Playing at God's feet.
You look down
by Emma Halley
The Lord must have lent you an Angel,
to watch over until he reached the sky,
and he chose the most wonderful person,
Hollow Nest:
We never speak of that hour.
When ripen fruit turned quickly sour.
Hunger heals slow in time,
With no one blamed
