The importance of voting

Voting is the vehicle that allows you to get your voice heard, where otherwise it would be silent. It is your say-so and your input, that may very well determine an outcome. There is a saying, "don't complain about what you allow"! When we fail to vote, whether in the major political elections, or an organization we belong to, we are saying yes to whatever the outcome. Even if the outcome of an election is not what you desired, at least your vote will speak for you, that you were in agreement or disagreement. Voting gives you voice. It is a responsibility and a duty. It also gives you power, because you become a part of something, not just an onlooker or a spectator, but a participant.

Being able to vote on issues, especially political issues or political offices is what gives us that sense of belonging, because we have a part in how things are done or what is done in out nation through the vehicle of the voting process. We have something to say, and we can say it through others, by our vote. This is important, because we don't have to accept just anything, we vote for people or issues that represent our views and opinions. Voting is what makes us a democratic society and not a communist one. If our voting rights were taken away, then we would see just how important voting really is. At this time in our history, it is our right and freedom. When we fail to vote in whatever arena, we're in, we have no right to complain with the outcome, If you don't vote, you're already in agreement with the results!
