No, eighteen is not too young to vote. If you are old enough to go off to war and fight for your country, then you are old enough to vote for the best person to lead our country and to make the best decisions to benefit your young and up and coming life. There are many 18 year olds that are more informed about the poilitical process, and the candidates than people more than twice their age.
In America we are afforded freedoms and privileges that many in other countries are not. I believe that the right to vote is indeed a privilege and should not be taken for granted. When you turn eighteen you are considered an adult in the eyes of the legal system, many young adults are going off to college, or into the workforce and some into the military.
Young adults should be proud and honored that they are given the privilege to vote, not take this lightly, and inform themselves through television, the internet and political discussions among freinds as to the issues surrounding our country and the best candidates to lead us in 2008. They should then make sure they take advantage of their right to vote and do so.
