Poetry: Inspirational

Before we're born unto this earth, our destiny is planned.
Our map of life is written by a skilled and gentle hand.
He doesn't give us blueprints with a list of things to know.
Yet any path we follow takes us where we need to go.

And even though the road is long, with lots of twists and turns,
Remember, every set-back is a precious lesson learned.
Each flood we can not wade through, every obstacle we face

Is not a boundless hurdle, but a trouble to embrace.

For if this life was easy and decisions all worked out,
We'd never know the anguish, feel the guilt, or suffer doubt.
We'd never have a reason to seek help or give God praise.
We might not ever talk to Him, or know His caring ways.

So don't you ever dwell on where to go or how to start.
Just take a step and walk in faith the answer's in your heart.
It doesn't matter what you do, just do the best you can.
You never know where you will be when God reveals His plan.

It might not be exactly like the one you had in mind.
But somewhere down the road there is a treasure you will find.
Don't let that mountain keep you from the dream you chose to chase.
You'll reach it when He's ready, in God's own time and place.

Don't try to fight your destiny, or run the race alone.
Remember, God has plans for you that far surpass your own.
