What it takes to be an entrepreneur

dollars, for a down payment on a four year old twenty lane bowling alley, that I made Thirty five thousand after many mistakes on my part(trusting the wrong people)and taking up six months of wasted time.

The last thing I did with with George, and this I know to you, will be unbelievable, he had 7800 acres that he wanted to sell ,and I begged him for just an open listing, and finally he said yes,as I told him I wanted to advertise it in the London Times, well after not succeeding with the London times,I called the New York Times, and for twelve hundred dollars, I put quite a nice interesting ad that they ran the very next day. Now george had told me that he wanted thirty nine million cash,no mortgage,so I put it in the times for $45,000,000. thinking I could take a trade or come down on the price,or make $6,000,000. commission. The first day my phone was ringing with all foreign newspapers to get me to put that beautiful ad in there cheap papers at about $250.each,well I put it in seven different foreign news papers in Arabic,Japanese, french,Spanish Chinese,German, and I can't remember the last one.

In ten days I got twenty nine real calls on the property, and registered all of them with Georges office, with his private secretary,Westinghouse was one of the cooperations that wanted me to send all I had on it,I even hired a plane to take Ariel views of the property, with over five miles adjourning the new jetport. Westinghouse said they had tried to buy it years ago,and was thrown out of georges office with a big NEVER. (He would never give up his ranch)Well,George told me he would handle everything,as he does in all his transactions. I'm going to make this short, because theres alot more to say,but the bottom line is that he wound up getting the full asking price, and I didn't even get a hardy hand shake,or any expenses. And he tells people he's proud that this was the biggest deal he's ever done in his life!I know I don't look very smart letting him get away with this, but I have been blessed in so many ways,I can't count them, and he is very sick and ready to die,and If I saw him today, I would probably hug him, because God has blessed me in my latter years with so many miracles,"THANK YOU LORD", and please forgive George for everything Lord.
