I stocked up on plenty of cheap,decent running cars and did very well.I then sold the car lot to a great guy named Charlie,and he gave me twenty thousand cash down and a $15,000.note for one year,and I stayed in one of the offices in the same building, and opened a real estate office,by using a friends real estate license,named Richard,and giving him a small piece of the action.George was so happy with me, that he let Charlie take over my $110,000. mortgage,with no more money down.
This wonderful elderly gent named Pat was an Angel in disguise, you won't believe this, but I went in partners with him,when a customer named Rufus asked me if I knew of someone who would like to own a trailer park. I quickly gave him a one hundred dollar deposit,and bought that ten acre trailer park for $135,000. including eleven rented Mobile homes,That I sold for $285,000.and a ten and a half acre Island that I paid $50,000.and gave it away for $140,000.Eleven and a half acres with 410 feet of riverfront for $135,000.and also sold it for $285,000.,to Jacks boat yard next door., Two auto salvage yards,one two acres and the big one is five acres, that I sold for,Two acre for $180,000.,the five acre for $410,000.I had paid $235,000. for the pair of them,and the best one was, eleven acres in laBelle,with twelve hundred feet on the river,and a great 3 bed room home for seventy seven thousand five hundred, from five brothers and sisters that weren't talking to each other for over twenty years,and they each got $15,500,and were very happy about the whole deal.I got along so good with those five brothers and sisters,it made me realize that I might have a special talent for this real estate business.
We sold the house to Pats lawyer for $135,000.(A big favor) with three acres,and three hundred feet river front.The last eight acres with nine hundred feet river front is worth over Five Million Dollars today, and his twin sons still own it.By the way George is one of the richest men in south Florida and he loaned me sixty thousand
