This is against my personal morales as a human being and a respectful and dignified man. I would only use my personal skills to get ahead and i would NEVER kiss up to a boss to get a promotion, even if it meant more money for myself and my family, and a better working and social life to gain from it. It is simply wrong and shows just how shallow, low and undignified you are willing to be for personal profit, willing to swallow your pride and your dignity simply to get ahead of your fellow co-workers to benefit yourself in terms of money. Why bother?
I will tell you something, once and once only. You can NOT put a price on pride, and you can not put a price on dignity. These things exist in us as human beings, and it is not our place to swallow them down simply for material gain. This is simply my personal feelings on the subject, and it could explain why i am currently unemployed. I am a respectful person, but i will not over step the boundaries of respect by kissing up, i will not step into the shadow of greed and swallow my pride simply for a material gain.
I can understand some reasons why people may do this, they may be struggling financially to raise a family or keep a large family going, sometimes it may have to be done, but i firmly believe that there are better ways than kissing up to get ahead, and i think everyone can find these ways if they just have faith and show total loyalty to their work and maintain a good, calm and respectful work ethic towards their job and their co-workers.
