Bible study: Assessing whether Old Testament laws should be kept

The Old Testament is put out of context. Many of the preachers that I have asked, concerning the mistreatment of the nonbeliever, simply say "It's the Old Testament, it doesn't count".

What I have to say to that is: It's only a cover up defending their belief. I believe the people that wrote the old testament were simply warning us that this religion is nothing but, nonsense. It only holds death and nothing more. Killing innocent children and woman, just because they didn't believe in this GOD.

And another thing. Jesus must've had a fascination with blood. Leaving the blood of a newborn lamb across the doorway of your house. Seems a little insane, doesn't it, but Jesus said thats what you have to do. And if a book tells you to do something you have to right?

It's just like a commercial. if one person is wearing a certain namebrand of clothing, you say, "Hey, that would look good on me." conforming and complete disrespect for yourself is the only thing you will ever get out of religion.

God and religion in itself is nothing more than a comfort zone. It brings people to believe that the bad decisions they have made, that they can simply throw them away with on simple talk to a wall.

It is all in the head and you might as well be talking to a wall.

"A man with knowledge walks among men as among animals."

thankyou.
