Naturally reduce the pain of arthritis

Part of popular wisdom is that meat and dairy negatively affect arthritic conditions. But recently, mainstream medicine is corroborating the relationship between certain foods and the exaggerated inflammatory response seen in arthritis.
We tend to see inflammation as an unwanted condition. Notwithstanding, inflammation is the normal body response to harmful stimuli. Without inflammation, the body would not be able to repair damaged tissues or respond to invaders.
Scientists are excited about recent discoveries on what we could call inflammatory and anti-inflammatory foods. Recent studies correlate arthritis with nutritional habits. The fats and oils found in our food are precursors of prostaglandins, some of which hold back the inflammatory response (the ones coming from omega-3 fatty acids) while others exacerbate it (like those that come from omega-6 fatty acids). Meat, milk and most processed foods are rich in omega-6 fatty acids.
A diet rich in anti-inflammatory foods, and little pro-inflammatory foods, contributes to improve arthritis.
