I Met The Man I Am Now Going To Marry Singing Karaoke
I have never considered myself a great singer, I actually though my voice was off key. I was in a tavern one day when the karaoke team was setting up. After set up, they allowed patrons a chance to sing so they could test the system before the show that night. I was encouraged to sing with Johnny, the owner, and though I would try it since there were only a few people in the bar. To my surprise, I sounded good. We did the song "Picture" and received great response to our duet.
I decided to venture out that night to sing again. I was a little afraid of the amount of people, but managed to get up in front of everyone and sing with Johnny again. The applause was unbelievable for me. Johnny of course was used to it because he had a great voice. I decided a few weeks later to visit another location where the team was setting up and was asked to sing the same song with Dave. I was unsure, but did it again. We were great together. He asked me to come back later that night and sing with him again.
I walked into the bar that night and sang my heart out with this incredible man. I never new what real love was until I met Dave and we sang together. We could feel the love between us developing over a few months and he eventually asked me on a non-karaoke date. To my surprise, we had so many things in common besides singing Karaoke.
Dave asked me to marry him two months ago and I had to say yes. We sing great together and continue to hit the Karaoke bars and enjoy ourselves. We are even planning to sing the song "Picture" at our non-traditional wedding. We will be inviting Johnny and his karaoke team, since they are the reason we met and are together today. Karaoke is a wonderful way to meet great people.
