The Internet has changed our lives in many ways. For instance you can E-mail people across the world in a matter of seconds. We also have the opportunity of buying things online. I have personally known people who have shopped for clothes, groceries, and gifts. Another advantage is that we can look up information. We can locate someone or get directions. Alternatively, even students today can do research on a specific topic for an assignment. To begin with, the Internet has brought a new form of communication to societies everywhere. We can talk to people in a completely new way. All that is necessary for one to E-mail another is you have to have the Internet and an E-mail account. One that is often used is Hotmail.com. Society today is so busy that the time needed to go to the store to buy stamps is not always found. Through E-mail, all that is needed is to type what needs to be sent, and send it to someone with an E-mail account as well. This saves time in terms that you can do this in the comfort of your own home or even at the office. Secondly, the Internet has great search engines. A very commonly used one is Yahoo. At this particular site you can have E-mail and do all the shopping and researching one may desire. This is just one of many ways the Internet has changed the lives of people. For some people, it is very difficult for them to get out and purchase products that are necessary for everyday life. The Internet has come up with a different alternative. Shopping Online! Anyone can shop online and have the merchandise delivered right to their door. This eliminates any inconveniences that may arise not to mention saves time. Next, you can locate people or even find easier means of transportation. If you needed to look up airlines to find the best deal on airline tickets, what time the flight leaves, and when one is coming back are all pieces of very important information. If driving is a possibility then a person could find the easiest route to get there. Finding another person is also an option. There are different sites a person can go to, to find another person. This process is done daily everywhere. Another way the Internet has changed the lives of societies students and non-students is the fact that they can look up information. Many times students all over are not able to find the information they need through encyclopedias. The Internet has become an alternative source. They are able to log on to numerous websites and research information about specific topics. This is an advantage and is not as time consuming. They are able to print the information right off the screen verses writing it or copying on a machine. It also gives people a chance to learn new things at their own pace. In conclusion, the Internet has changed the lives of societies everywhere, whether it is E-mailing, shopping online, or even doing research. It has allowed societies to challenge themselves and learn in a completely new way.
