Poetry: Jesus

Let it be

Ripples in the sea appear
seems someone is standing near

In a boat off the shore of Galilee
But who could this be?
Who could this be?

I look startled across the sea
Walking on the water, Someone approaching me
God?, who could this be?
Who could this be?

Is this the one long foretold?
The Messiah come to set men free?
God? could it be?
Who Could it be?

He was born from a virgin and God above
In lowly attire, and a king of love
Yes, but could it be?
Am I soon to be free?

Is he the blessed sacrificial Lamb?
That will pluck us out from the enemies hand?
God, let it be
Yes, God let it be

Is this the Master that measures my worth?
Could this be God the creator of earth?
Please let it be
Yes, please let it be.

This man on the water is a mystery
His eye's are piercing the depths of me
Who could he be?
Who could he be?

He walks on the water, coming near to me
I remember the story of the great red sea
Has he come to rescue me?
Come to set me free?

Is this the Master who parted the sea?
Is this the Messiah who's come to die for me?
Yes, God let it be
Yes, soon I'll be free
