Video Game Review: Deco online

As a self confessed gaming nut, I will admit to playing games, A LOT. Furthermore, I will also admit to becoming so complacent in my search for the next big game', I will try, just about anything at least once.
It seems that this year, more so than any other year, has really come to be the year of trying every MMORPG game I can (for those of you who don't know what such a thing is, please see my article on MMORPG games).

My latest trial has been with a game called Deco online. This game was launched in Singapore, but due to their global sever thread, I think it is just about international and as of yet, I don't know anyone from any country who has not been able to get access to the game.
Essentially, like all MMORPG games these days, Deco thrusts you into a second world and with your character, you are able to explore, fight monsters, become rich and famous, complete quests, join up and hang out with friends from all over the globe, discover new items and of course, to customize your character how you see fit.

Essentially, when you first log into the game you are prompted to crate your character. During which time you will have to make a selection between one of two nations, Rain or Melina. Not only will this decide where in the game you begin and how you start playing, it will also determine what job you may become involved in later and how your skills and abilities may become acquired.
The two nations represent the two major class distinctions often seen in MMORPGs, being that of the warrior and the caster. Those who pick rain will become a mage and later will have he choice of becoming either a Sharman (melee) or elemental (ranged). On the other hand, your choice through Melina will designate you to become either a knight (melee) or an archer (ranger).
This concept of opposing nations adds some depth to the game, yet at the same time makes you feel limited in the growth and evolution of your character as you are forever bound by the choice made at the very start of the game.

Once in the game itself and with the bright, rather impressive, anime styled graphics aside, Deco online plays much like any other MMORPG. Much of your time when playing this game will involve endless hours killing monsters to obtain higher and greater levels, so that you might go on to kill even more monsters. Every once in a while you might go off an under take a quest, yet this shall reap little reward.

All in all, Deco is an alright game and will keep you entertained for at least a couple of hours. However, being realistic, there is nothing here which will hold your interest for much over that.
