Here is a site, www.guru.com that allows professionals to submit bids in order to land a specific job. Who are the professionals? It's you or me or anyone that feels they are knowledgeable about a certain topic or subject. Perhaps you feel you have a certain skill and consider yourself to be a guru. . All you have to do is have a specific area of expertise and you can start making money.
Now these are some of the areas in which you can submit bids: Examples: web design - website marketing - Internet marketing - or Programming, data base development - software - legal, illustration, cartooning - painting - sculpting -business consulting - finance and accounting - writing- editing - translation - broadcasting - fashion - interior - landscape - set design - marketing - advertising and sales. Do you feel you are an expert in customer service regarding outbound calls or inbound calls? Then by all means submit a bid.
And I have to tell you the list goes on and on. Each topic mentioned above has roughly 7 or 8 subcategories mentioned below it which gives you yet more opportunities to showcase your talent.
As you can see there are many areas for you to look at. Here is what you do to get started. First you must register which consists on including your name, company name, email address, and then you must select a user name and password and click the submit registration information bar.
Next you post your profile. You are given an opportunity to list your qualifications, skills, other skills, educational background, as well as the minimum amount per hour you are willing to accept. This is the opportunity for you to sell yourself because you will be bidding for jobs against others with similar skill levels. Will you work full time? Are you willing to work from the organizations premises?
Now you can select up to five industries such as telecommunications, energy and gas, consumer goods, construction, retail, wholesale, or education.
You are given space to post your resume, unfortunately your resume has to be created as you are not allowed to copy and paste it. To make sure you have access to all the projects that are available you may have to upgrade your account and actually pay some money.
The next step is supply the names of three references, with their phone numbers and email addresses.
