I have always loved singing and on my birthday one of my presents was a cd called duets, it sat collecting dust for a few weeks then l decided to put play the cd one night as there was not much on the tv.

I didn't really expect to enjoy it but much to my surprise and delight duets instantly became my all time favorite film, Paul Giamatti is a total surprise and his singing was really good.

His duet try a little tenderness,with Andre Braugher who played Reggie Kane was absolutely dynamite, Reggie is an undiscovered singing talent with a voice so melodic that his final song freebird which he sang at the karaoke final without any music was stunning and would easily be a hit track if it was released.

Then Huey Lewis as Ricky Dean had me rocking with tears on my pillow, this guy is a serious singer and l would pay good money to watch him live .

Mario Bellow as Suzi Loomis was just so sexy in her role with a brittle hardness her ambition to win the competition with her sweet singing voice and a great song l can't make you love me if you won't, she was sensational.

But the biggest surprise of them all was Gwyneth Paltro as Liv trying to get close to her dad again,Gwyneth has a really great singing voice as she showed several times during the film especially her duet with Huey Lewis, her soft and sweet voice blending with his gravel voice.

Gwyneth should treasure this film and remember it always as her father Bruce produced it and he died not much later in 2003 of throat cancer.

I give the film a rating of 10 out of 10
